Martín Alund

Martin Alund, former top 100 ATP professional player, is Advantage Tennis Club’s Director of Tennis Programming. Prior to joining Advantage Tennis, he played professionally on ATP tour. Some of the highlights of his ATP career include:

  • Reached the semifinals of the 2013 Brasil Open and achieved a career-high singles ranking of World No. 84 in March 2013.
  • In 2013, Martin defeating World No. 25 Jeremy Chardy (fresh off of his career-best Australian Open quarterfinal run), later he valiantly took a set off top seed Rafael Nadal before losing in 3 sets.
  • In Houston a few weeks later, Martin defeated former World No. 1 and multiple grand slam champion Lleyton Hewitt.

JB Kitio

JB is formerly from Cameroon and has built a reputation within the tennis community as one of the top tennis instructors coming out of Africa. Has coached internationally in 7 different countries starting in 1989 and was the former number 1 player from Cameroon. JB was formerly the Head program director at Center Court in Chattem where he worked with recreational and high school tennis players. JB’s strong suit is his attention to detail when it comes to technical development. He is also going to help organize various tennis events and matches at the Advantage Tennis Club.

Nesad Filipovic

Originally from Croatia, Nesad is certified by the USPTR.  He has been coaching tennis for the last thirty years, fourteen in the Princeton area as the Adult Leading Pro of the Princeton Tennis Program.  Players under his tutelage have gone on to achieve sectional, national, and international success.  In 2015, he was part of the coaching staff for Ajla Tomaljanovic (ranked #50 WTA at the time) during the Australian leg of the tour.

Christian Guevara

Christian Guevara has taught tennis professionally for the last seven years. Most recently he held the position of Director of Tennis at the Lake Norman Tennis Academy. Christian knows what it takes to be an elite player as he was himself an elite Florida junior player, maintaining top 5 state and top 10 national rankings throughout his junior career.  Christian concluded his junior career as a Blue Chip recruit signing with Virginia Tech.  After two years of collegiate tennis Christian joined the Professional ranks.  While on Tour Christian travelled the globe playing against some of the best players in the world, including wins over Vasek Pospisil and Joao Souza.

He found success in doubles play winning several doubles tournaments while reaching ATP world rankings.  Throughout Christian’s career he was often sought as a hitting partner for is consistent and aggressive play by the likes of Novak Djokovic, Richard Gasquet, Grigor Dmitrov, Sebastien Grosjean, Dennis Istomin, Ivo Karlovic, and Jennifer Capriati.
